Work for the best company in Georgia?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Earlier this week, an AJC Business story revealed a list released by Fortune that highlights the best companies to work for in Georgia.
A lot of Atlanta-based businesses were highly ranked, including law firm Alston & Bird (19th), Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (35th), and HomeBanc Mortgage (67th) to name a few. Here is the full list of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For.
Some of those companies were cited for the services and amenities they provide to their employees, for instance, daycare facilities, bonuses, and use of the executive dining room were just some of the perks.
How do you feel about your employer and the services they provide for you? What constitutes a really good place to work?
Do you work at one of the ‘best’ companies? What makes your company such a good place to work even if it’s not included on Fortune’s list?

My company is not on the list but I totally love it! We have a really good day care on site and get awesome holiday bonuses!

My company also is not on there and it’s surprising to not see their name. We have a large amount of paid vacation time during a year and receive bonuses. IT is one of the largest employers and they expect us to take our time off work, too.

I can tell you one of the worst companies to work for….the one I work for! Managers do nothing and make all the money and take all the credit for the work you’ve done. Holiday bonuses, what’s that? On-site day care, please. My child had an asthma attack at school, the nurse called me because she left her inhaler at home accidentally. I left the office for about 2hrs to see about my child, and you better believe I was docked that dayumn 2hrs! I am praying for the day when I look forward to going into the office.

Attention job seekers: AATC or Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation is one job you should vehemently avoid. The benefits are worse than retail…the workload is tremendous…and it is apparent that no managerial training is needed to become upper management. Your supervisors have no tact, no compassion, and all the benefits.

My company is on the list and it is the best place to work because of the company’s perks but the management leaves a lot to be desired!
