Will President Obama create more jobs?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
How do you see changes working for you in your life and workplace in light of the new President and the declining economy? Many people are sure things will change now that Barack Obama is President. Do you think things will change for you?
Career expert Chandra Fox from e-resume.net offers the following positive ways to be ahead of changes: be on the pulse of changes at your workplace/industry, have some money for whatever comes and update your career-related material to be prepared. Here are some other questions to consider:
1.) What will change for you good or bad if you are laid off in the next year?
2.) Are you prepared financially in the event that you take a pay cut or prices go up (as they have already)?
3.) Are you able to make changes to your life that will better your position financially - cancel a family cell phone, cut back on movie channels on cable, hold off on big purchases?
4.) What are you doing differently in light of all the changes of 2009 to make it a good year?
5.) How do you see your industry being impacted with a downturn in the economy?
We are all hoping for “Change We Can Believe In,” but is it realistic? What are your thoughts? How do you see your life in the next year?

Since I already don’t have a job (but I’m looking), me and my husband can afford to live off of one income. We are able to save more if we don’t go out to eat and to the movies as much. To make 2009 a better year, I am watching how i spend money more and not being so careless with expenses. I feel that the things that have been going good in my life right now are not directly related to President Obama. Right now he serves as hope for a better future. I believe in his plan and hope all goes according to plan to better our economy. I think it is extremely realistic to believe in change because without hope, you’re not looking to change.

He is a politician and is beholding to the ones who brought him to the dance. So that means more union bail outs and massive money thrown at the problem with all of it being called stimulus. If you look at the proposal on the table it is packed full of pork. I am afraid the promises made are going to be no where close to being fulfilled. And that is going to be sad for those who think he is going to make their house or car payment for them. WAKE UP…there is no such thing as a free lunch America! by the way, check H.R. 15 introced by John Dingell which calls for a 5% Value Added Tax to pay for so called “Free Health Care”.
