The Georgia Association of School Nurses will host a statewide education conference July 22-24 at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront Hotel. More than 400 school nurses are expected to attend the annual event.

Some of the objectives of the conference will be to expand and update knowledge of current school health topics; find out about educational tools, resources and organizations that are available to assist school nurses in their practice; and develop current approaches to school health issues.

A pre-conference workshop on pediatric asthma and asthma management will be July 21 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The conference fee is $125 for Georgia Association of School Nurses members, and $160 for nonmembers. Separate fees apply for asthma educator training and nursing physical assessment courses. CEUs will be awarded for attending the entire conference. Registration forms and fees are due by June 24.
