"The Medical-Surgical Nursing Review for Practice Enhancement and Certification" will be at Piedmont Hospital, 1968 Peachtree Road in Atlanta. The event, which will be in classroom No. 7 on the sixth floor of the hospital's 77 building, will start at 7 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Registration fee is $175 per person for both days. "Critical Care Nursing: Visioning Beyond the Basics," a conference sponsored by the Alabama and Georgia chapters of the Association of Critical Care Nurses, will be at Atlanta Marriott Century Center. Topics will include coagulation conundrums in critical care, innovative therapies for aortic aneurysm repair and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers is hosting its fourth annual fall perinatal conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital's new Birth Place East Tower. Conference speakers will address topics of interest to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists, obstetrical office staff, medical and nursing students, and other members of health care teams. The cost for general attendance is $60, which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and snacks. The conference is approved for 6.9 contact hours. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta will host an annual pediatric nursing conference. Pediatric nurses and pediatric nurse practitioners in acute or primary care settings are invited to hear national and local experts speak about the latest advances in the field. The keynote speaker will be Donna Wright, RN, MS, an expert in clinical competency. Twelve CEUs will be granted. The cost is $250; $175 for students. The registration deadline is Sept. 15.
